Audio Post. Music Composition. Music Supervision and Licensing.

Traditionally, audio post production referred specifically to syncing sound with pictures. Today, we use it as a catch-all term to cover sound for not only picture content, but radio, experiential, podcasts, or whatever else you’re making that has a sonic requirement. Audio post could mean helping create a radio station just for dogs, or an app to learn Te Reo like this, or even a podcast of one sort or another. When it comes to pictures, as Franklin Rd we’ve been a part of producing audio to help tell stories that are scary, emotional, funny or vital for clients in advertising, television and film, for more than 10 years now. Our Sound team is headed up by the hugely experienced Shane Taipari.

Where there’s sound, more often than not there’s music too. Be it composed, licensed, or production music, we can do it all. Composed might mean you work with Mahuia Bridgman-Cooper. Or it might mean you have a project where we write and produce as the FR team, or where we project manage the music for you with your choice of composer outside the FR whanau.

We have a wealth of experience with music licensing too, led by Franklin Rd’s Jonathan Mihaljevich, drawing from his background in music business in New Zealand and the UK. Jonathan has, over the years, from black disc to MP3 and beyond, built vital relationships in music copyright across the globe that help achieve great outcomes for advertising, film and television clients both creatively and fiscally.

If you’d like to see examples of sound design, composed or licensed music work, or you’d like to discuss a new project, just give Jonathan a call on +64 (0) 21 952 937, or email jonathan@franklinrd.co.nz
